It would seem that finally the truth about CRT is being revealed.
And perhaps now people will begin to recognise what members of the boating community have been saying for years, namely that CRT as an organisation are not fit for purpose.
They have been asset stripping the national treasure which was entrusted to them since being given the responsibility for its preservation and protection, basically since the day they walked in the door.
They have consistently lied about their performance and their policies and they have worked slowly but surely in an attempt to marginalise, isolate and even ‘demonise’ the community of continuous cruisers and liveaboard boaters with their rhetoric and policies whilst pursuing ‘divide and conquer’ tactics amongst the boating community in general.
They have mismanaged and ignored maintenance issues, frequently attempting to blame infrastructure failures on ‘boater damage’ or ‘vandalism’ when in fact the truth of the matter is quite simply neglect on their part.
Now we are finally beginning to see the effects of their financial policies, their move away from their responsibilities as a navigation authority to ‘re-brand’ themselves as a “Wellbeing Charity” and their attempts to boost their personal fortunes by behaving as a property development company.
My personal opinion is that much of what they have done over the past eleven years is bordering on criminal activity and should be fully investigated by parliament !
They are a disgrace and Richard Parry along with his senior team should be removed immediately for their underhanded tactics and their incompetence.
Some of us have known for a long time that a bunch of idiots are in charge ! GET THEM OUT !
Dick Parry isn’t doing us any favours hes too busy trying to turn crt into a property developement business to make lots of profits and hes failing which means he isnt doing the job he was signed up for and after taking home £200,000 a year for eleven years I dont think he gives a shit if the whole thing crashes and burns be cause he will walk away with over £2million in his big fat wallet !

Yeah you see that’s just the sort of creative thinking that will sort out there financial problems. With all those millions of towpath visitors they claim to be getting (8million a day I think it was) just charge them a quid each and bingo ! Cash problems sorted in a couple of weeks ! /sarcasm
