Which social media platforms should my business be on? – #FAQFridays

Hi, my name is Adelie Landis, and I’m a
Digital Marketing Manager here are PriorityMarketing. Today on FAQ Friday, we’re going to answer
the question, “which social media platform is right for your business?” Pew Research
Center Reports that seven-in-ten Americans use social media. Statement: and with hundreds of social media
sites out there, selecting the ones that align with your company’s goals can be a bit overwhelming. Priority Marketing to the rescue! Today, we’re going to talk
about if you should be on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Fact: Let’s face it – generating social
media content is intricate work! It’s like creating a fun and exciting headline
every day and making sure you have a beautiful or engaging image to go along with it, while
ensuring you’re driving users to a place that will help accomplish your business goals. Because of how time-intensive it is to manage
social media for your business, it’s essential to align your target market and your goals
with the users and capabilities of each platform – so you’re not wasting any time and money. Facebook If you’re not on Facebook, ARE YOU EVEN
FOR REAL? Because of the wide range of audiences on
Facebook, your business should be there – even just for credibility. The majority of users are males and females
between the ages 18-49 with a wide variety of interests. Facebook has so many dynamic ways to engage
your audience; non-profits can communicate with volunteers and donors and accept donations,
restaurants or spas can create redeemable offers that drive sales, or medical offices
can share health tips to develop credibility. Instagram Even rappers know that Instagram is a great
selling tool. In the words of French Montana “Wanna hit
the fans, selling work on the Internet — call it Instagram”. Out of the 1 billion Instagram users, the
majority are young females between ages 18-34. If you have a product that showcases well
in images, such as food, this is a platform for your organization. It’s also an ideal place to connect with
bloggers and influencers– especially if you’re a restaurant or a beauty company. Twitter With 500 million tweets per day, Twitter is
the fastest-paced social media platform of them all. The majority of 326 million users are men
between the ages 18-29. If you want to connect with news media, share
tips, promote a travel experience, comment on recent events, and discuss political matters
while reaching a primarily male audience, then your business should be on Twitter. Success: Choosing the right social media platforms
to reach your target audience and accomplish your goals can save you time and money, and
drive business. Tell us in the comments – what social media
