ON-DEMAND, MARKETPLACE OR HYBRID JOBS❓ #gigeconomy | AppJobs.com

HI there! I’m Marina from AppJobs.com and in this video
we are going to be talking about the main differences between on demand jobs, marketplace
jobs and hybrid jobs. So by the end of this video, you will know
what they are and will can choose which one fits you best. So let’s do this! The gig economy is a rather new marketplace,
so that means that it comes with different terms to try to explain how it works. And a few of these terms that you might come
across are: on-demand jobs, marketplace jobs and hybrid jobs. On-demand jobs are the most popular in the
gig economy and includes apps like Uber, Lyft, Postmates, Caviar and Instacart for example. Basically, on-demand workers are on-call when
they are logged in to the app and they will receive delivery, driving or other service
requests. The worker has the option to accept or reject
that service request and will receive through the app, information about their service,
ratings and reviews for example. If the workers has really low ratings or violates
any of the Terms of Use of the platform, they might have their profile deactivated or temporarily
suspended. And when it comes to the payment, the rates
are set by the company and they are subject to change. Marketplace jobs are is another term you might
come across. They are as popular as on-demand jobs, but
their signing up process is a bit more traditional. And apps like Care.com, Urbansitter, Sittercity
and Fiverr for example are all marketplace jobs. Workers can list their profile in the marketplace
platform, users can apply to the advertised jobs and they can send requests to clients. Marketplace workers also get reviews and ratings
based on ow fast they reply to their clients and how active their profile is. They have the option to communicate with their
clients through the app and just like on-demand jobs, if they have low ratings or violates
any of the Terms of Use, they might have their profile deactivated or temporality suspended. But the main difference between on-demand
and marketplace jobs is that with the last, both the clients and the workers set the rates
for the service and the payment is generally hourly based. But before I tell you about hybrid jobs, you
should scroll down a little bit and click on the red button to subscribe to this channel,
so you always know when we have a new video up. Hybrid jobs, however, as you can tell by the
name, are a mix between on-demand jobs and marketplace jobs. And big companies in this category can be
Taskrabbit, Handy, Housesitter and Helpling, for example. Hybrid workers also receive ratings and reviews
based on their work performance. And just like the other jobs we talked about,
if they break anything in the Terms of Use of the platform or have low ratings, they
might have their profile deactivated or temporarily suspended. Workers and clients can also communicate through
the platform and you might actually get penalized if you do that off the platform. And one last thing about hybrid jobs is that
sometimes they allow the worker to set their own hourly rates. Now you know the main difference between these
three job categories and you can pick which one suits you best. You should go to APPJOBS.COM and find hundreds
