Sometimes, you need to return items ordered
through Marketplace. Follow these steps to initiate the return and make sure your items
will be picked up. First and most importantly, call the supplier and give them the PO number
associated with the item you’d like to return. They’ll give you an RMA number, which you
will use to reference in Marketplace. At this point, you have two options. If you are returning
a non-hazardous item from the Main Campus or from a location that Campus Receiving delivers
to, log-in to Marketplace. Below the “Top News” Section in Marketplace, there’s a box
labeled “Tool Box”. Here, you’ll find a link that says “Return Pick-Up Request”. After
clicking this link, complete the iRequest and print it out once it has been filled out.
This printed copy of the form will need to be attached to the box or boxes that you are
returning. If you are returning multiple boxes, then you will need to attach a copy to each
box. Once you have printed the form, add it to an empty shopping cart and submit the cart.
The shopping cart will route to Campus Receiving. They’ll be notified that a pickup is waiting
for them. Once the item is at Receiving, the supplier will pickup the return. If you’re
not at a location that Campus Receiving delivers to or you are returning a hazardous item,
you have two additional choices. You can either arrange a pickup with the supplier over the
phone or you can complete a “Shipping Memo” form which can be ordered through Imprints.
After you have completed that process, open up the PO in Marketplace and leave a comment
indicating that you have returned an item. Be sure to include the RMA number. Once the
supplier has received the returned goods, they’ll issue a credit. We hope this
