And I’m here to walk your through the set up process for your new ScanSnap Evernote Edition Scanner Everything you scan is instantly saved in the right place and automatically available on all of your devices If you need more help, please review the user guide or feel free to contact us at To get started, you’ll need to download the installer from Then just run the installer and you’ll get everything you need including the latest version of Evernote and the ScanSnap Manager Plug your scanner into the power outlet and connect it to your computer with the USB cable The most amazing thing about this scanner is that it detects what’s being scanned and files into the right notebook automatically Just set up auto-filing for each type of scan: documents, business cards, receipts and photos Now you can get your documents ready Everything on your scanner opens easily to make cleaning simple When you scan documents make sure they are face down, upside down Scanned documents become searchable PDFs This makes it really easy to find what you’re looking for You can also scan business cards into Evernote Face down, upside down Push ‘Scan’ All the information is recognized and saved as a business card note If you sign in to your LinkedIn account Evernote will add more useful information I also like using this scanner for receipts To scan receipts put them face down, upside down If they’re ugly sized, I make sure they’re filed as receipts by opening the ScanSnap Manager and changing the mode from Automatic to Receipts You never have to mess with complicated settings It automatically figures out the ideal settings for each type of scan For example, when you’re scanning photos, they will automatically come in at the highest quality possible Open the ScanSnap Manager and set the scan mode to Photos To rotate a photo once it’s inside Evernote just right-click the photo and click Rotate When you’re in automatic mode, Evernote detects each document type and files them into the right notebook That means you can put a stack of receipts, business cards, photos and documents; together; and scan them all at once everything is face down, upside down Then everything is filed into the correct notebook You can also scan wirelessly Open the ScanSnap Manager, click Settings, go to the Wi-Fi tab and select ‘Enable Wi-Fi scanning’ Now you can scan wirelessly If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our support team.
