Facebook’s New Home Services Marketplace

What’s up everyone, it’s Jim over at Spectrum. It’s not often that we have breaking news
within home service marketing, but when we do, we can be sure that it’s a sign of great
things to come. Late last week, Facebook announced that it is rolling out home services directly within the Marketplace. That means users will have the ability to
comb through thousands of contractors within Facebook’s marketplace platform. Now, Facebook won’t be pulling all of your
business information from your profile. They’ve actually partnered up with Handy,
Porch, and HomeAdvisor to aggregate ratings, reviews, credentials, and your location, to
provide it all in a nice bundle for Facebook users. Users will be able to submit a quote directly
through Facebook’s platform, and you’ll be able to communicate with those customers
through Facebook’s messenger app. They can request services from multiple businesses,
so be sure to respond to them quickly. The coolest part about this new feature is
that it’s actually free for those who have signed up for one of those three providers. Now, while all the key details have yet to
be ironed out, there are a few things you can do today to set yourself up for success. You can ensure that all your Facebook business
profile information is up to date and correct. You can focus on generating customer reviews
so that prospective customers can see all that great information at their fingertips. And finally, you can fill your newsfeed full
of applicable and impactful content that will help a customer choose you as their trusted
provider. As more information becomes available, we’ll
be sure to update you all, but in the meantime, you can focus on working with your marketing
team to find the best way to implement this feature within your current marketing strategy. And if you have any questions, be sure to
email me, and we’ll find the best possible way to make this work for you. That’s it for now, I’ll see you next time.
