Explaining Health Insurance Part 2: Meet the Marketplace!

“The Marketplace.” You’ve probably heard about
it. In most states, including Iowa and Nebraska,
we use the health insurance website HealthCare.gov. If you’re seeking financial assistance for
health insurance, this is where you start. To register, create an account by entering
a username, password and some basic information. Then, apply for assistance by entering information
about you and your family. You will be asked if you’re getting help from
someone. It’s recommended that you work with an agent, as the process is complex. The agent at Veridian Insurance is Todd Cooper.
Todd is a Health Insurance Specialist, and there is no cost to work with him. To claim Todd as your agent, you’ll need to
enter some specific information. When you get to this page, check “Agent,”
then enter Todd’s name, user ID, and agent number, or NPN, which is 6853115. Again, it’s important to enter your agent’s
information if you want free guidance now and in the future. Next, The Marketplace will ask you to pick
a plan and enroll. This is where the process becomes challenging, and this is where we
recommend stopping and setting an appointment with your agent, who will help you complete
enrollment in The Marketplace. Remember, an agent like Todd can help you
evaluate all your health insurance options for free – whether they’re inside or outside
of The Marketplace. To schedule an appointment with Todd, call
or email him today. Discover the benefits of working with an agent
in the next video.
