Commercial Solar – Business plan – Byers Solar – solar electricity – solar panels

(cheerful music) RAY JR. So we’re here with Dr Pfaffinger. Dr Pfaffinger, you have a
nice dental practice here in Nevada City. DR PFAFFINGER: Thank you. – We had the opportunity
to work with you on roof, solar and rain gutters,
not only for your residence but also here, work with
you on your practice. What kind of led you down that road? What was that process like? – Solar I guess was something that I knew I was going to do, it’s
just a matter of timing. We had a roof that was 20 years old. Kinda been patched before
and I was just about to purchase the building and so I thought, well you know the timing is gonna be right to upgrade the roof and when I do that, do the solar. And of course you guys do all that, and with your reputation and
the experience at our home, just long history, I
felt really comfortable going with you guys. You’re generating your own
energy, you’re getting it for free essentially. At some point, it’s gonna
pay out or pay for itself. Our practice, we require
a lot of electricity and it shows in our PG&E bills. There’s a few months during the summer where we’re spending over $1000 a month. I just figured gosh, I’m
newer in my practice, I’m gonna be here for a long time. The sooner your start any investment, the sooner it pays off. Martin is amazing, he
answered every question and he just did not stop with, he didn’t come short at all. So I knew right from the
beginning that I was working with someone and a
company that was gonna be very thorough. So I wasn’t too surprised
with installation. But ya, you guys definitely
coordinated with our office, trying to work, I think you
guys even came in on a Saturday a couple times to get it done. So that was awesome, we
really appreciated that. I mean, there was some
hammering, we did try to forewarn the patients and said
gosh it’s a good thing our hammers and drills
in here are much quieter than theirs up there. But you guys did great. It’s been very helpful and
I would say it is meeting our demands and it’s meeting
expectations you know, what was projected. It’s also kind of led us
to be a little more aware on where we were maybe being
wasteful in our energy. So sometimes you gotta make
sure that that thermostat is not set to 67 degrees
on a Saturday or Sunday when the practice is closed. Some helpful things as we’ve
become more energy aware. I mean this is just in
Nevada county, we try to be a little bit more aware
of our surroundings, take care of our trails and
nature and things like that so we’re very conscious
in that department. So we do have those
conversations with patients, try to keep our technology cutting edge with our equipment. We’re pretty excited and
pretty proud to be a part of the solar movement. – Good deal. RAY JR. Dr Pfaffinger, than you very
much, we really appreciated it. (cheerful music)
