You know what’s sad?
-Hm? That mom was right.
This place is pretty nice. There’s trees – we’re going
to sit on a bench right here. -Okay. Alright. It’s right behind you.
-Okay. -Okay. There’s trees.
There’s a bridge over there. There’s a lake. The trees, you can smell
the trees, huh? -Ahem. -Yes. The flowers actually.
-The flowers? -Yes. It’s nice, it’s nice. Well, I’m going to leave
for a jog, alright? I’m only going to be gone
five minutes and I’ll come right back.
And then when I get back, I promise we’re going
to go eat, alright? -Okay. Okay, well I’ll be right back.
-Okay, bye. She’s stupid. Why would she even
think I wanted to be her friend? Watch this. What is his problem?
Who does he think he is? I am beautiful!
Everybody loves me! I’m beautiful right?
-Yes, you’re beautiful. Well well well, look who it is-
little old Angela. Hi Chanel. -Hey freak. I’ve been meaning to tell you,
I’ve seen you around school, you know this little act
you’ve got going on, this little blind act
you got going on, this little handicapped thing?
It has to stop. I’m queen bee, I run the show.
This little thing, this little: “Oh, help me
with my homework, I’m blind. “I can’t see, I don’t know
which way to go. “I can’t open my locker. I don’t
know where to get my lunch. “I don’t know what I want to eat
for lunch. Why? Because I can’t see the menu.”
It has to stop. I don’t care how blind you are.
I don’t care how ugly you are. I don’t care that you can’t see.
I don’t care that you can’t walk. I get the attention!
Do you understand that? I-I-I. -These little glasses,
they’re kind of cute. These things,
you don’t need these. This is a little act that’s fake.
I don’t like it. You’re taking my attention. Has anybody ever told you
you’re beautiful? -Yes. Who? -My family
and teachers and friends. They lied to you. I want you to know that. I want you to know
that you are ugly. Well, I have somewhere to be.
Let’s go. Oh I know. -She deserved that.
-She needs to know. She needs to know her place.
Come on. She needs to know
where she stands. I’m sick of people thinking
that you know, they’re better. I told her. I don’t want to ever
have to tell her that again. I know … What are you doing?
Come on! We just made that girl cry?
-So what? So what? She didn’t do anything
to anyone. She needs to know
where she stands. Do you not know
where you stand? You stand behind me. I’m up on that. Without me there would be
no you. Know that. But it’s okay sweetheart,
it’s okay. I already know. Why don’t you go
help your little friend because you’ll be back. You’ll be back crying
at my little feet because you know what?
I am queen. Unlike your little friend Chloe,
I know where I stand, and what I stand for
and what I don’t. And I don’t stand
for an ugly dragon like you breathing their fire
on anyone they want. So I don’t really care about this. I’m going to take care of someone
that needs some help. Do you want to go help
your little friend? You can go. Have fun.
-Do you want to go with her? No, I’m good.
-I didn’t think so. Ugh! Let’s go! Angela. -Isabella? Wait! Where is Chanel? She’s not here,
but I came to apologize. What do you want now? Look, all this time I’ve been trying
to prove myself to the whole school. I’ve been spreading rumors,
making fun of people to make this image that I shouldn’t
even have to create. And? You’ve always ruined my day.
I used to be happy. And I even fit in
because of my blindness. Hanging out with people like that
does not make me beautiful, it made me a monster. Angela, I really do want to change. I just hope that you can
forgive me. I’m so sorry and so ashamed
of what I’ve done. You’ve made me feel like dirt
for so long but… I think I could believe you. But that doesn’t mean what
you’ve done to me was alright, but I accept your apology.
-I’m glad. I’m glad you finally decided
to change. So, do you want to get
something to eat? Could you help me find
my brother please? Yes, sure. Do you know
where he would be? He said he was going to go jogging
around here. -Oh, okay. Alright, so,
I’ll get your purse for you. Are you okay? -Yes, I’m fine. -Oh, well here’s your purse.
-Thanks. You know, you didn’t have to hang out
with Chanel to be beautiful, you already are. But how do you know that
if you can’t see me? Being blind doesn’t mean I can’t see
how people really are. My disability has taught me that I can’t take it out at the end
of the day like makeup. I had to learn that. Hey sis! Girl, I’ve been looking all over
for you, where have you been? Sorry Chad. -It’s alright.
-Hey. This is Isabella by the way. Oh hi, nice to meet you.
-Hi Isabella. And you’re my sister’s friend?
-Yeah. -Yeah? Well we’re about to go eat, huh?
-Oh yeah, that’s right. Do you want to come with us?
-Yeah, that sounds great. Yeah? Let’s go. -Look, guys.
